Boiler Maintenance
We recommend a yearly service to ensure that your heating system and boiler is working smoothly and safely.
Why Get an Annual boiler check?
Regular servicing will help increase the lifetime of parts and ensure potential issues are spotted and prevented. It is also a warranty requirement for new boiler installations.
HOw Long does it take?
On average a service check should take about an hour. If we discover parts or further work is required we will discuss options, costs and arrange a time to return at your convenience.
ANy recommendations?
Systems filters and smart controls are a great way to improve energy efficiency. We always recommend getting an approved carbon monoxide detector fitted - for peace of mind. Check that it complies with British Standard EN 50291 and carries a British or European approval mark, such as a CE or Kitemark.
our annual maintenance checks include:
- A visual check of the boiler and flame
- Check flue (externally and internally)
- Check operating pressure and / or heat input
- Check safety devices
- Check expansion vessel
- Check case seals for effective seal
- Boiler casing removed to check all boiler components (burner, heat exchanger, main injector, spark, sensor probe)
- Boiler fired safely to identify any working faults
- Boiler parts cleaned, if necessary
- A service report showing everything the engineer has done
